Just as Matthew Melton winds down his power pop band Warm Soda, he and wife Doris have birthed the psych rock colossus Dream Machine. Their debut, The Illusion, is their musical answer to a world entranced by their mobile phones and consumed by social media. So it only makes sense they'd conjure up the ghosts of '60s album rock legends Iron Butterfly, Deep Purple, and the Doors - replete with theatrical guitar riffs and eerie organ solos - to make their case. It was also recorded at A=432HZ, which apparently means it has healing powers, too. At very least it sounds fantastic on vinyl!
